Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Kitty-cam...soo tempting, but I don't need another time-sink.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

The kitty cam is just not working for me the same way that the puppy cam did. Every time I open the window I see them, remember PETA and think, "Mmm...land fish!"

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Hah! That calico kitten is being all stealth kitty. First, he/she's not in the picture at all, then a blur and foom! There he/she is, attacking a sibling. Then, another blur and gone again.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Also, he had two lawyers, one being the guy who actually got R. Kelly off

Wow. Did said lawyer pass the bar at, what, 12?

It is like those Popes in the middle ages!

Blagojevich is going to be so pissed he didn't think of that one first.

Xin Nian Kuai Le!

Aww. That's very sweet. We visited Chinese friends yesterday (Monday was Australia Day, so, long weekend!). They gave us red bean congee the moment we walked in, moved on to carrot cake from the Cheesecake Shop before we'd even finished the congee, and gave us an ice cream tub full of smoked salmon (sans ice cream) when we were leaving.

So Wallybee and I bought bagels and cream cheese on the way home and celebrated Chinese New Year in the old-fashioned way.

Celebrities born in the Year of the Ox - like our President.

And Wallybee! Now I think of it, our spawn will be too. (And due date would make him a Taurus, so he's, like doubly encowed.)

The evil is this way?

Re: the Leslie Stahl interview of Rachel Maddow:

LESLEY: .... Why do you think there are still so few women in Congress? I just read a statistic – only 75 of the 435 people in Congress are women; only 16 in the Senate, out of the 50.

Last I checked, there were 100 Senators, not 50. Two for each of the 50 states.

Hah. I can't believe all day long nobody caught that. Myself included - it wasn't a set-up. [That's what she said. Oh lord, now I can't stop.]

That's the "damn lie" part of statistics. And the damn fool part of Stahl.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Sounds fun! The kids and I just ate noodles and oranges for lunch and watched Ni Hao, Kai-lan for our celebration.

I'm tired tonight. Considering an early bedtime. Hahahahahaha.
