Zoe: Don't think it's a good spot, sir. She still has the advantage over us. Mal: Everyone always does. That's what makes us special.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Well, Ryan does have a legitimate claim to some human rights cred what with the death penalty stuff, and there is precedent for people who have mixed records (I'm looking at YOU, Henry K.) for getting the Nobel, so that's not terribly freakish.

However, Blagojevich continues to bring the capital-C Circus back into IL politics. Why hasn't he been forcibly escorted out of office yet?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I like to think they're waiting until they can do it on a special episode of Rock of Love 3: Bus.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'd like to thank Bill O'Reilly for my biggest laugh of the morning:

So, the lesson here is clear: No longer can the American media be relied upon to bring us fact-based information. The news media has entered the ideology business much like talk radio. This will greatly harm the nation, as unbiased information is critical for an informed citizenry. The collapse of journalistic standards was a huge but largely untold story in 2008.

Seriously, Bill? You crack me up, you big ole' hatemongering douchenozzle assberet.

One of my coworkers I don't know well has a birthday tomorrow, and it turns out she's turning 35. I came *this close* to making a huge gaffe and assuming she was joking and is actually older, phew. I had put her in her early 40s - I'd have guessed 42 - partly I guess because she's got a 15 year old son. But she's younger than me. Near miss, dudes.

Do you suppose there are signs on the motorways announcing "You are now entering Titty Ho"?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

East Coasters--is today being less stupid than yesterday was, so far?

Yesterday was really stupid.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have already gotten stuff done today! Or, at least, started the process of getting stuff done. I call that a win so far.

YAY Jesse!

I... haven't gotten any more emails suggesting that the person who is supposed to do such things didn't renew one of our biggest database contracts!

So, what are people doing this weekend?
