My speedometer didn't work at all on my commute. It always kicks it at some point. I wonder if it finally gave up. Hmmm... Bad VSS (vehicle speed sensor)?, Loose Wiring?, Bad speedometer head? I don't know if a bad VSS will throw a code or not. I wish there was a way to tell. If I had cruise control I could check the VSS, but I don't.
Gud, is your car 1996 or later? Because if so, it should be easy to read the OBD-2 code (if you have a laptop and the right adapter).
