Illyria: Wesley's dead. I'm feeling grief for him. I can't seem to control it. I wish to do more violence. Spike: Well, wishes just happen to be horses today.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

My other boss (the one who owns the dog) is out of town, so my boss is taking care of the dog for a while.

At the OFFICE?

Your office is awesome.

Huh. Matilda just woke up, looked around, and burst into tears. Right now she's being cuddled by Hec while she sobs, "I don't want to go back home! I want to go back to baseball!"

Poor Matilda. Have you tried telling her there is no crying in baseball?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Have you tried telling her there is no crying in baseball?

But, see, she's already there. If she were back at baseball instead of going back home, she wouldn't be crying.

That is some awesome stuff-doing, msbelle. I bow down before you, and I wish I knew how you do it. My own desk at work looks like a total wreck and there are at least two giant things that must be done that have been looming for weeks while smaller crises explode and suck me away from the giant things. It's rather horrible.

Plus, come September, 6% pay cut. Whee!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

It reads like a robbery gone wrong. In a not so healthy for me place, I admit that my initial thought was that one of the children was probably involved.

I have to say, I'm a bit relieved at the way it's playing out. If there can be any "relieved" about it.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

BTW, today is the 40th anniversary of the launch of Apollo 11, the first mission to land on the moon.

The actual landing was July 20th, 1969.

video of the launch: [link]

Wow, video quality of space launches has improved a lot in the last 40 years.

The first PTA meeting is at 5:00pm tonight. 5:00pm! Who can do 5:00pm on a weeknight? Crazy. My record of missing PTA board meetings is going to continue.
