See, if you were here, you could have a tequila sunrise, which is very pretty.
megan, you've got me hooked on gin. I now own three different kinds! And I had a long and difficult day yesterday (except for learning that I'm going to Barcelona, in biz class, in Sept for a conference...) and when I got home, the first thing I did was make a drink.
I felt like such a cliché.
I think my work here is done.
My daughter is a crazy person. We just got back from Kezar Stadium -- she ran her not-quite-three self three laps around the track, and up and down the seating steps a couple of times, then one lap around the top. It's cold and windy and foggy and she is dripping with sweat; she ran the last half lap with her tongue hanging out like a puppy. There were various blank-a-thon teams in training and boot camp groups and whatnot all over the stadium, and all the coaches were cheering her on. Because they're all crazy. It's colder than a witch's tit out there!
Now she is playing with Hec's Yellow Submarine toys, making Ringo dance and sing songs from Beauty and the Beast. How is she not dead of exhaustion? God knows I am.
Try tequila!
BWAH!
How much tequila does a toddler take?
Alas, we have no tequila. Bubble bath and a bottle of milk with a hefty jigger of cognac will have to do.
For me. I don't know what Matilda's going to do for dinner.
Is anyone following the story of the couple in Florida who was killed? The parents had 12 children, several of whom were adopted and had special needs.
They've now arrested and charged *eight* people in the killings. It was a fucking conspiracy, though I don't think the authorities have talked about what the motive was. It's just incomprehensible.
