"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

"a" clafouti or just clafouti? I do not know.

Hmm, interesting question, clafoutis, mass or count noun? I guess technically it's count, but I think I would say "I made clafoutis this weekend".

I can sing some francoise hardy to you, if you'd like. you know with my half-ass tx accent and no french instruction, it is a really really good time.

I love Françoise Hardy! You and mac could do a duet on "Comment te dire adieu" à la Jimmy Somerville. Couldn't be worse.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Mon (or ma) clafoutis smells very custardy. And it's puffing at the edges of the pan.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The clafoutis came out seriously puffy. I had to pick blueberries off the bottom of the over where they fell out.

How long do I have to let it cool? Just enough to not give myself third-degree burns?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Bumper stickers, for your shoes!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I am waiting with bated breath to see how it tastes. Clafoutis, not bumper stickers. If you know how shoe bumper stickers taste, do not tell me.

I am having way more caffeine than is the norm, what with the parentals' coffee break and all, but I am not complaining about it because it is awesome Kona coffee that they buy green and roast and grind themselves.

I figure I can go through caffeine withdrawal when I get home.

It tastes good! It deflated substantially as it cooled. I don't think I used quite enough fruit, and I feel a little guilty eating what's basically a custard. Though not guilty enough to top eating it.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Mmmmmmm, custard.

In other news, does anyone know of any reason not to use ING for CDs and such? I'm thinking of putting some money into CDs, and they seem to have some of the better rates. But I'm a little bank-shy these days. Not quite "shove it under a mattress" level shy. But concerned.
