Tara: Do you have any books on robots? Giles: Oh, yes, dozens. There's a lot of research to be done in order to--no, I'm lying. Haven't got squat. I just like watching Xander squirm.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Ooops, fixed now. Yes, 1/2 cup.

ETA: I suppose you could leave out the rum, but then you might be met with a chorus of "But why is the rum gone?"

“Not dead yet!”

Thanks to the cupcake talk, I went and bought two dozen gourmet cupcakes for a pajama party a bunch of writers are having tonight.

They are sitting in my room right now... TAUNTING ME.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

That is a lot of clafouti ingredients! We use this one all the time: [link]

We use the oven directions, not the cooking in hot coals one. But it's so simple! Eggs, milk, flour, sugar. Fruit. Butter to grease the dutch oven. YUM!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I made blueberry crumpets this morning because I had sourdough starter to use up and no eggs.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Mmm, clafouti. How do you say that?

We had someone from my folks' church bring by dinner last night, which was nice of them. One person brought an awesome roasted chicken, and one brought an amazing sugar cream pie, which we're getting ready to eat again for coffee break in about an hour. Mmm, pie.

In unrelated news, remember when we used to mock dead muppet fashion back in Buffy days? I thought we were as close to that line as we were ever going to get, but it turns out, not. I feel a bit distraught on behalf of muppets everywhere, even despite my muppet phobia.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So the person I brought the cupcakes in for was just tested for swine flu and isn't allowed to return to work until the results come back.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Mmm, clafouti. How do you say that?

I would say cluh-FOO-tee. megan walker?

So the person I brought the cupcakes in for was just tested for swine flu and isn't allowed to return to work until the results come back.

I thought we were over that? I mean, I would hope that someone with any generic flu would stay home but to not be allowed sounds extreme. You work in an office, right? Not a hospital/day care/some other kind of place where people might be delicate?

My day has been slightly bananas, including a missing teenager and two different coworkers asking me if two other coworkers were pregnant. (I have no information about either.)
