Wash: You want a slinky dress? I can buy you a slinky dress. Captain, can I have money for a slinky dress? Jayne: I'll chip in. Zoe: I can hurt you.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Video library fees are bananas. Which is why I never take them out!

Harper's Island: Holy crap. For a minute, I really thought only Henry was going to walk away. Phew! Good times.

Because books.

Totally, Jesse. I mean, total CRACK, too, but good times.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

It's just wrong that those shorts are 65% polyester. Very wrong.

And hey: the black guy made it almost all the way to the end! That never happens.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Another fun thing in Italy was trying to reverse-engineer Italian out of French, Spanish, and barely-remembered Latin. Like, if there was something that we needed to communicate, and could figure out a way to do it in two or three words, first my sister would try the Spanish words, and the Italian person would maybe understand one or two of those, but not all of them. So then we'd take that remaining word and I'd translate it into French, and first try just saying the French word, then try putting a vowel at the end of it, and then finally, if none of that worked, try to see if any of us could remember the Latin word for it.

It's not exactly the most efficient method of communication, but we managed to use to exchange train tickets and buy a few things like razors, toothbrushes, and a contact lens case. (The contact case was for me. I accidentally dropped mine down the drain of a sink.)

Coding and Sleeping

When I was in Germany and Austria, people would come up to me and start talking in German. It was always a little weird to have to tell them "ich spreche nicht Deutsch! ich bin Americaner"

The American flag shirt would take care of that problem.

Because books.

I know! That hurt, because I really liked him .

I also really think I need to see more of the guy who played Sully on my TV.

“Not dead yet!”

People wearing those shorts, sitting on boats with drinks. Usually blasting Hootie and the Blowfish.

Yes, but are they in their forties or their twenties. The former, I'd accuse of trying to recapture lost youth; the latter, I'd wonder, WTF, did you not learn from the sartorial mistakes of your ancestors?

Some of both.

Some of both.

Oh. Well, then.

I... have no real response to that.
