Reynolds, I'm a dangerous-minded man on a ship loaded with hurt. Now, why you got me chatting with your peons?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I like that bag a lot, Tom. It says "manly" to me! That official man-bag seems to be sweeping the nation -- I think my father has it, after seeing a friend with one.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Pretty manly.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm still pimping this man bag. Because someone needs to own it!

Punishingly Intricate

Manly!

I think that crazy poster on chow has posted about the same subject on the B'more Sun restaurant blog! Crazy all over the internet.

My brother has something like a messenger bag, but only half as wide. I think a newspaper bag.

I really like that bag Tom. It reminds me of a great, vintage camera bag my father had. It looks like it has real purpose, rather than being a man-purse.

Which is not to say men can't, with all the equal storage potential they entail, carry their man-purses high.

Frankly, despite my preference for smaller, or non-standard bags (ex. my evening bag is a silk covered Chinese food box), I don't see how anyone can get away with not carrying SOMEthing these days. Even if men's clothes tend to have more pockets.

The Manchester International Festival is putting together a touring, educational steampunk show based on the difference engine, Charles Babbage's mechanical computer. Oh, to live in Manchester!

A schoolfriend of mine is now director of the Manchester International Festival. I'm so happy he's doing so well for himself. The festival seems to be an enormous success.

And yet, Dick Cheney is alive.

Seriously. Where is the justice?

Bless McNamara's tortured soul.

I passed him in the airport once, at the height of his touring for The Fog of War. I thanked him for speaking out at that point and, had he not looked like his spirit was in tatters already, I'd have added, "Just wish you'd used your power for good and not evil in the first place."

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Now that Wimbledon is over, is anyone but me paying attention to the Tour de France? Today was an interesting stage, especially for an early flat stage. Armstrong got a leg up on Contador. Should make for interesting mountain stages, especially with the team time trial tomorrow.
