Compassionately intolerant

And yet, Dick Cheney is alive.

Seriously. Where is the justice?

Bless McNamara's tortured soul.

I passed him in the airport once, at the height of his touring for The Fog of War. I thanked him for speaking out at that point and, had he not looked like his spirit was in tatters already, I'd have added, "Just wish you'd used your power for good and not evil in the first place."

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Now that Wimbledon is over, is anyone but me paying attention to the Tour de France? Today was an interesting stage, especially for an early flat stage. Armstrong got a leg up on Contador. Should make for interesting mountain stages, especially with the team time trial tomorrow.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Fiona! Long time no see.

Randomly, in a long weekend full of lovely things, what is staying with me is the amazing tomato on the diner BLT I had yesterday.

All of my friends! I think it's fun to watch but not by myself. We had TDF brunch on Saturday though and that was good times. I made vichyssoise!

Coding and Sleeping

I don't there is any bag manly enough for where area my house is. But then this is where I overheard people at a local pizza joint talking about how all homosexuals should be rounded up and put in jail. Also, this is where our kids came back from school asking why the other kids thought Obama was a terrorist. And the first words of every Democratic politician you shake hands with is, "I'm pro-life and pro-gun". Not the most progressive of areas. OTOH, it is starting to loosen up a bit as it turns more suburban. In another decade, it might well be as progressive as the suburbs.

I love this guy's tattoo! It's based on one of the owl gargoyles on the top of the Harold Washington Library in downtown Chicago.

Now tagless for your comfort.

One of the benefits of having tacos for dinner last night? Yummy taco salad for lunch today! The kids opted for cheese & tomato quesadillas.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I need a boyfriend.

And a manicure.
