Okay, um, I'm lost. Uh, I'm angry, and I'm armed, so if you two have something that you need to work out --

I went to the same zombie thing as Jilli! I did not see her, though, as there were 5000 zombies. Literally.

I discovered tonight that I can mostly see the Seattle fireworks from my balcony if I either lean over, or if I just open the blinds on my dining room windows, sit on the balcony, and look through the corner windows. I also figured out (after a year and a half of living here) that there are lights on the balcony, and a switch to turn them on. Duh.

I also am apparently drunk enough, or dumb enough, or blinded by the lights, that i WALKED INTO MY SCREEN DOOR, AND BROKE IT COMPLETELY OFF. Oops.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

If Spare Cat would only stay still cuddling in my lap it would be OK, but she keeps wanting to crawl up into my face. It's hard to read the screen, let alone type on the keyboard-- she's literally lying across my forearms as I type this.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Awwww. Spare Cat loves you!

Thank you for the Bauer Barbeque Jesse!

I am off to buy yogurt because the anitibiotic for my ear infection seems to have killed my intestines. And I want to barf. I can only imagine a yeast infection is not far behind (although I hope I don't get one in my armpits because that was horrible) This is pretty annoying, as this is the first day I have felt semi-good since Thursday!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

We went to see fireworks from the Top of the Rock, but could only see bits and pieces. To get great spots, we would have had to get them and stay put for over an hour and that just doesn't work well with 2 8 year old boys.

Today more sight seeing with family in town from TX. Their first time in NY and they just keep going, wow, oh my god, good lord.

I think I need to resign myself to the fact that Loki WILL sit in the kitchen window, watching bird tv.

Coding and Sleeping

The kids and I did the traditional trip to the local fireworks show. Good show, but the way there and back was problematic due to large amounts of construction in the area.

Now tagless for your comfort.

After the shooting of the Holocaust Museum, I made this comment here. I found out that the ATF raided Tom Metzger's house in my home town.

We need to go shopping for a new microwave and a new audio receiver today. I hope there are holiday sales going on.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

is my lap big enough for both my kitty and my 17" MacBook Pro?

lifts eyebrows

...that's what he said.

Meanwhile, I feel like I should apologise for the uncouthness of my inebriated countrymen. Particularly with their rudeness about the soup. (Although, if I'm perfectly honest, I'd have been thinking the same thing about cold soup - gazpacho et al will always fill me with sorrow and puzzlement at the Not!Soupness, because there's always a sense of "Yay! Soup! Which is hot and yummy and...oh." But wild horses would never have dragged such a sentiment from my lips, in regard to food someone else had generously provided for my consumption. Hell, I have willingly drunk SOUR milk WITH LUMPS IN and smiled and said thank you, rather than hurt a host's feelings.)

Glad people seem to have had a good 4th of July! The Polar Bear toy was an awesome choice, Hec - and I'm still agog at the Death Star. Agog.

hip deep in pie

I was watching Wimbledon, but I needed to take a break from John McEnroe.

My lower back and hips have been killing me for the last 3-4 days. Not always at the same time. I have no idea what has brought this on, but it has to stop.

Does anyone have a link to Federer's warm up suit?
