Well, we may not have parted on the best of terms. I realize certain words were exchanged. Also, certain... bullets. But that's air through the engine. It's past. We're business people.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Had Thai food last night and ordered a Thai iced tea. Something about drinking a beverage that is "school bus orange" (as a friend in NC put it) and sweet as all get-out was what I needed.

Cherries and peaches. NOM.

I love summer because of all the fruit. We went to the farmers' market Wednesday, and I expected a bunch of fruit since it's July, but the only fruit to be had was peaches. Which -- I love peaches, so that's cool, but I was hoping for a multitude of berries.

Oh, there were tons of other berries, I just know I can't consume that much fruit, am not a canner and since I'm gonna be gone most of the month... But blueberries and raspberries and gooseberries and sour cherries and ones I couldn't identify.

I envy your berry accessibility!

“Not dead yet!”

I envy that y'all have Farmer's Markets.

IOpsychomeN, tell me to quit looking at Austin relocation guides and real estate. I'm getting way too excited and I'm practically ready to put a sale sign up in our front yard. I also need to chill because it'll make Lewis tense and too excited. And while I'm more go with the flow, he'll be really disappointed if he doesn't get this job.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Well, so much for working at the bookstore this morning! I got up, took my shower, got dressed and headed over to the store, only to find out that they had rewritten the schedule for today (home office told them on Tuesday that they could close early since all the other stores were either closed all day or at least by 5:00--we're open until 7:00, which is at least better than 10:00 pm), and taken me off completely.

At least I was there to check my schedule for next week (another anomoly, in that I'm down for 11-4 instead of 10-2) and get my time off request in for the end of the month.

Now to get changed into my cleaning clothes and see what I can get scrubbed up today.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My brilliant husband came downstairs this morning, saw that the VCR was on, and turned it off.

Interrupting my taping of the Wimbledon's women's final.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Dana, his heart was in the right place.

However, getting a TiVo would have solved the problem. ::evile grin::

The only thing I've accomplished today so far is changing the litter box.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

So far today, I woke up, ate a few blackberries, played around on the internet for a while, and then ate some soup. Sometime soon, I'm going to get dressed and go grocery shopping.
