I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

“Not dead yet!”

I envy that y'all have Farmer's Markets.

IOpsychomeN, tell me to quit looking at Austin relocation guides and real estate. I'm getting way too excited and I'm practically ready to put a sale sign up in our front yard. I also need to chill because it'll make Lewis tense and too excited. And while I'm more go with the flow, he'll be really disappointed if he doesn't get this job.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Well, so much for working at the bookstore this morning! I got up, took my shower, got dressed and headed over to the store, only to find out that they had rewritten the schedule for today (home office told them on Tuesday that they could close early since all the other stores were either closed all day or at least by 5:00--we're open until 7:00, which is at least better than 10:00 pm), and taken me off completely.

At least I was there to check my schedule for next week (another anomoly, in that I'm down for 11-4 instead of 10-2) and get my time off request in for the end of the month.

Now to get changed into my cleaning clothes and see what I can get scrubbed up today.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My brilliant husband came downstairs this morning, saw that the VCR was on, and turned it off.

Interrupting my taping of the Wimbledon's women's final.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Dana, his heart was in the right place.

However, getting a TiVo would have solved the problem. ::evile grin::

The only thing I've accomplished today so far is changing the litter box.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

So far today, I woke up, ate a few blackberries, played around on the internet for a while, and then ate some soup. Sometime soon, I'm going to get dressed and go grocery shopping.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Heh. I am too lazy today to spell right! I would like to be outside, but can't get off the couch.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

sarameg: mine hide in the under-sink cabinets, too. Leo seems to have taught Percy to open the doors, and they close by themselves.

Palin resigning is strange. The way she did it is even stranger. It stomps on her chances for continuing on in politics, but she loves attention. She's got something in mind, maybe television.

Juliebird: something has been snacking on my hostas. My sister says it's a rabbit, but it's eating the tops of them too. That's a tall rabbit. Maybe it's a deer. It hasn't discovered the begonias yet. My sister said, the way to keep the nibblers away is to pee on the plants. I don't know if I care that much.

Last night I slept for 12 hours. Whoa. I didn't think I drank that much. Today I've managed to clean litterboxes and do some laundry. I need to clean up the office, but it doesn't seem to be happening.

help my butt is stuck to the sofa oh noes

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Zenkitty, I don't think the deer can really get at my patio, it's a really sharp drop from the ridge, and i would have expected more damage by now. Last year at work we had a mysterious nibbler that would nip the flower buds off the sunflowers and marigolds that were three and four feet off the ground, with now signs of climbing or bending the plant over. And we have a deer fence. I'm beginning to suspect birds are also culprits.

I usually motivate myself to move by imagining how embarrassed I'd be if the neighbors knocked on the door at this very moment.

...And I'm up!
