The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

John Hodgman at the Radio & TV Correspondents' Dinner

Nerdtastic and funny.

I knew the answers to the three-part Dune question.

Compassionately intolerant

Hodgman was fantastic. A perfect idea and execution.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Your DVR hasn't watched it yet. It has needs too, you know.

Hee! Maybe it's fallen for Randi's butt.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm down at my Mom's in PA for a couple days. After all the times I stayed in the winter, it's kind of cool to be here just to be here, visiting. Mom is off the supplemental oxygen, except at night, and takes along a bottle with her when she goes out, more for the psychological comfort than need.

Big family party on Wednesday, and tomorrow, I'm supposed to accompany her to a casino, which will probably be dreadful, but will make her very happy, so.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I tried watching The Philanthropist, for the pretty. Oh, so painful. Please to be canceled soon and free James Purefoy. It's worse than watching GA for Kevin McKidd.

Also, because Buffistas know everything -- is 'swathe' pronounced with a short a (ahhh) or a long a (ay)? I just heard a British guy pronounce it with a long a and now I'm worried that I've been mispronouncing it all these years....

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The new casino in Emmaus or where ever, Theo? You should totally send your mom with my friend who lives in the area! I know she's already been there...

It's actually pronounced "swat-hee", because there's a fucking "H" in it /Izzard

Because books.

Merriam-Webster shows both pronunciations, Theo, so you're good.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I pronounce it with a short a, but I spell it without the final e.

"Swather" I pronounce with a long a.
