The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Never mind

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My dinner was leftover lentils with Turkish mystery spice, and brown rice. And I've currently got a swiss chard fritatta in the oven for breakfast tomorrow.

Radio is playing Billie Jean.

“Not dead yet!”

I was just listening to the Chris Cornell version of "Billie Jean." The mood matches.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

...and "Billie Jean" just started playing on my MacBook Pro....

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

The icons of my youth are dying. I feel old.

Fred Phelps and his crew protested in front of a gay and lesbian synagogue in NY. The synagogue responded by asking people to pledge $1 (or more) for each minute the protest lasted. The synagogue ended up raising $10,000. [link]

Our wings are not tired.

I've been watching the Michael Jackson coverage for hours now. Sad. What a tragic figure. Although he wasn't much younger than me, I always had a protective mothering type reaction to him. So talented. So damaged.

Watching with my family there was conjecture that Ryan O'Neal must be pissed that the Farrah coverage disappeared. And of course Gov Sanford breathes a sigh of relief for the distraction. Who knew I was raised among such cynics?

Actually, 2 network channels are airing Farrah stuff. Ryan O'Neal comes off as totally in love with her. I hadn't realized that he was the actor playing Bones' dad (I didn't know his name and face.)

Our wings are not tired.

The 3 teenage boys here had no idea who Farrah was. I assured them that all their dads surely did. I didn't watch her special, but it was clear from the coverage I had seen how devoted and loving Ryan's care has been. The Barbara Walters' special had already been scheduled for tonight I believe. Sad stuff.
