Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Pu Chang-en, a technician at the bureau's department of forensic science, said yesterday that among samples collected from 31 vegetarian food vendors in Taipei City and County for safety checks, food taken from 17 vendors were found to contain meat. DNA tests revealed that in the two most serious cases, the vegetarian patties and ham of one vendor and vegetarian dried shredded pork from another vendor contained at least 20 percent beef or pork, Pu said.

Well this is the most disturbing thing I've run across today, and I watched that entire Mark Sanford press conference debacle. WTOP reports that the family of Ana Fernandez, one of the victims of Monday's fatal Metro crash, has been getting hate-filled phone calls from people questioning whether she and her family are legal immigrants.

What the ever-living fuck is wrong with people?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

In poking the Internet, I stumbled across this blog. Someone took Sims 3 and created a "homeless" father and daughter, and has been narrating their adventures. It think it's particularly funny if you've ever played The Sims, but, even if not, it's still quite entertaining, and oddly touching.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I've never heard it suggested that hairless cats suffer from hair-envy, but from this video it appears this cat does: [link]

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Well, they do usually look cranky - kind of a "dude, I'm COLD. I'm supposed to have FUR" look.

I wonder if it's the hair the cat liked or something the guy had used on his hair - a cat my sister had used to really like my skin cream, to the point of licking as much off as I'd let her.
