Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Nice work by Mrs. Sanford. What a little Lady Macbeth she is.

It's kind of refreshing to see a politician's wife opt "Throw his ass to the wolves" isntead of "Stand By Your Man."

“Not dead yet!”

I come back from going to the movies and discover that Natter has 'sploded with state gov't asshattery (not unexpected) and really offensive ads from BK (also, sadly, not unexpected-- may never eat there ever again).

So you're saying he's not not nude hiking?

He may have done some nude hiking in Argentina.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I heard the BK ads are from another country, FWIW.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

He may have done some nude hiking in Argentina.

So THAT'S what the kids are calling it these days.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

You know, I was almost ready to believe the "hiking in Argentina" story. I must not be as cynical as I thought. Or more gullible. It's just that as 'unlikely excuses' go, it was weird enough to be plausible.

I have the wacky idea that objectification of women and portraying them as blow-up dolls is offensive in *any* country.

You know, if he had been hiking the Appalachian Trial naked, it would have raised my respect level. I mean, it's a little wacky, but I'm cool with the wacky. Argentina booty call, NSM.

Coding and Sleeping

You know when I posted this yesterday,

Hang on there, this is a Republican who espouses family values. You're not going to see someone like that involved in some seedy sexual activity.

I thought I was just joking around.
