Coding and Sleeping

You know when I posted this yesterday,

Hang on there, this is a Republican who espouses family values. You're not going to see someone like that involved in some seedy sexual activity.

I thought I was just joking around.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I should probably run around and do a Colbert-style "I Called It!!" celebration, but that's rather tacky. I will just note that I said it was probably a booty call from the beginning (cynical person that I am).

I'm sorry for his family's sake that I was right.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I think it was more than just a booty call or he'd have had some sort of cover story in place.

Personally, I'm coming down to: Either his wife knew where he was and outed him because she was sick of it or he was chucking it all and running off with Miss Argentina but changed his mind three days into it.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Maybe he was running off to be with her, but she decided to go back to her husband?

It seems to me that we could work "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" into this somewhere.

From the msnbc piece, it sounds like he was there to end it - [link]

Theo - from the quote "the last 5 days crying in Argentina" - my guess is we'll be hearing a lot of "Don't cry for me Gov. Sanford" jokes in the next few days

Our wings are not tired.

He didn't need to fly there to "end it".

I think Trudy's right; he prolly flew down there to whisk her away and live some new adventure. Then, 3 days into it, reality struck.

Who knows?

It seems to me that we could work "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" into this somewhere.

Given this quote, I'm sure you can.

He told reporters he spent "the last five days of my life crying in Argentina" and the affair is now over.

It's still pretty tacky to fly off to see your mistress on Father's Day.

well yeah, but it's tacky to have an affair in the first place.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

It's still pretty tacky to fly off to see your mistress on Father's Day.

Maybe he thought it was a holiday where he got to have a day off from being a father.
