Oh man, that sucks. I sure hope you can get it resolved quickly and that the bricks stop flying.
Credit card took a huge hit, but it's paid and the car should be unbooted within the next forty minutes. Which will be in plenty of time to get JZ and Matilda to the airport for the F2F.
Ugh. In the 18 hours since I've returned I've had the car booted, Emmett had a massive meltdown, and I discovered that...
::covers Jilli's eyes::
...I left my Dad's top hat in the trunk of the rental car. The cool Mad Hatter one.
Fuck.
But I also thought that I'd lost the camera but it was just in a random luggage pocket. And Emmett bounced back this morning after I fed him cinnamon rolls and he and Matilda put on Lucha masks and chased me up and down the hallway trying to pants me (in my pajama pants). And there was enough room on the credit card to get the car unbooted and it should be available to get to the airport.
So, on balance, a pile of shit-bricks but I seem to be over that particular wall o'crap.
::knocks wood::
Hopefully the crap is over.
I've gotten too much done at work today. I think I'll have to take off a bit early. I've got to make a stop to get some charcoal for grilling tonight anyhow.
I've also discovered that upping the resistance on the weight machine makes for sore arms later.
Damn, Hec, that's some shitty shit right there. Glad you're all bouncing back.
Hec, did you call the rental company about the hat? Sometimes they are good about that.
The seventh one on this list of realtor ads made me laugh so hard: [link]

I walked home from work today. Stopped by the grocery store and bought a few things, only to discover when I got home that I didn't have my housekeys. Megan is a total superstar for coming over with my spare set. I had already walked in the hot sun for an hour and was just about cooked. She probably spared me from having a meltdown.

I get why he's a lamb, but WHY IS THE LAMB IN SPACE?
This rain seriously needs to take a breather.

JZ called and left a message. I'll follow up tomorrow. I think there's still a chance of recovering it.
Emmett inherited three hats from my Dad, but that one was by far the coolest.
More appropriately, though, he also got my Dad's umpire balls and strikes clicker.
The car is unbooted. Laundry is done. We'll go swoop up Matilda shortly and I'll deliver them to SFO.
Then I'll come home and huddle up with a margarita.
Timelies all!
Need to go pack, as I am heading to Concertino after work tomorrow.
