I am not...I am not the damsel in distress. I am not some case. I have to work this. I've lived in a cave for 5 years in a world where they killed my kind like cattle. I am not going to be cut down by some monster flu. I am better than that. What a wonder...how very scared I am.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hec, did you call the rental company about the hat? Sometimes they are good about that.

JZ called and left a message. I'll follow up tomorrow. I think there's still a chance of recovering it.

Emmett inherited three hats from my Dad, but that one was by far the coolest.

More appropriately, though, he also got my Dad's umpire balls and strikes clicker.

The car is unbooted. Laundry is done. We'll go swoop up Matilda shortly and I'll deliver them to SFO.

Then I'll come home and huddle up with a margarita.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Need to go pack, as I am heading to Concertino after work tomorrow.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Sara, you're famous!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Your drama being in the paper and all... OK, not you personally, just your pain.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I love this baby's face.

Heh. As long as I stay famous, and don't become infamous. That would be bad.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Looks like the husband and I will be stopping by Trader Joe's while we're in Seattle. I've never lived near a TJ's, but I know several of you guys have favorite products. Any recommendations? We might even be able to swing refrigerated stuff if we go on Sunday.

Snapea crisps. Cheaper fancy cheeses. Scones. Tzatziki. Garlic naan. Ooh, and there was this curried roti/naan in the bakery section. Vacuum packed palak paneer.

Ooooh, naan. I could definitely go for that. And palak paneer. And anything Indian, really.
