ABC is saying that Kennedy had a seizure, and then Byrd left because he was distraught.
Teddy just watched a young relative get sworn in to Congress, didn't he? I guess if you're going to pick a time to go, though . . . Good stories for heaven: "Hey, Jack, Bobby, guess where I was!"
I'm hoping that Kennedy is just tired and it's nothing serious. What a sad thing to happen on such a wonderful day.

Hatch is telling msnbc that Kennedy had a seizure and appeared to be in pain but was consciou. It was Hatch's impression that Kennedy was able to communicate.
I thought I heard that Byrd took ill first, but Ben was talking to me and I'm not sure I heard right.

That's what the Washington Post is reporting. Byrd and Kennedy were at the same table. Byrd left ill, first, then Teddy's seizure began. [link]
