headache/migraine. This morning whenever I breathed, this evening whenever I tilt my head to the right.
Gramps/Gramma.
Pops/Mom (although my older brother picked up the annoying habit of
"HEY, MA!" with a horrible nasal "A".
Sound keeps going away on laptop, argh. I want to watch Nurse Jackie, not do a cleaning!
As long as she doesn't move into the adoption phase of Angelina Jolie-ism, I can safely ignore her...
Perkins, are they Norwegian?
It's courtesy of Denmark (Dad's family moved there from Germany before WWII), though I think it is the same in Swedish.
Poppa / Mama Ceda
Grandpa Bill / Ma Ree
Actually, I didn't know Ma Ree very well since she was usually too sick for me to visit. After she passed away my grandfather remarried (single men at that age are hot stuff since there are many more widows than widowers) my step-grandmother was just Evelyn.
I made green curry chicken tonight, and while it was very good, it wasn't nearly hot enough. Clearly the recipe was meant for the average person and not someone who enjoys burning her face off. Next time I make it, I'll have to use three times as much paste, and probably spike it with more garlic and green chillies.
Very quiet. I am getting acclimated to new meds that make me drowsy. I'm not sure I want to be, quite yet. Taking them will be a dance. As if there's not enough dancing with the ones that need to be taken on an empty stomach. My stomach is never empty. Not for long.
Announcement: I had a headache when I got home, so I went to sleep about 8:00 or a little before. Now I am awake again, and my headache is worse.
Analysis: This week can bite me.
Gramma / Grampa. Nana / Boompa.
My parents' generation of grandparents are all called Gramma Gail, Grampa Jim, Gramma Eiko, Gramma Nancy, etc...
It was always Grandma [last name] and Granddad [last name] when I was a kid. My folks were Mom (or Mums) and Dad (or Daddy-o).
