I just got a facebook message from someone whose first name was Sozon, because I took that as my facebook username. They didn't say anything to indicate they were pissed, but I am reading some tone into it.

ION, why do I feel nauseous? A mild case of food-poisoning? Or is it all the crap in my lungs that I'm coughing up and then swallowing?

(My cold is much better - I'm at the point where all the crap in my sinuses and lungs is clearing out.)

I'm not on a hilltop, everything to the immediate west is downhill, so it leaves a feeling of openness considering we're all on top of one another (I can hear my neighbor across the alley doing dishes right now.) So that's really awesome for you.

My yards are the postage stamp in the back (probably 7x7) and then the front, which slopes fairly steeply from the porch to a wall at the sidewalk, probably not even 7 feet. And it has two huge evil bushes that take up half that and as I've mentioned, planting in it is a BITCH. But other than the bushes, at least it doesn't get overgrown, since it is the evil clay.

When I popped in the marigolds in the little 5x5 slope I have now, the soil in the top two inches seemed to be pure worm castings. We'll see what the rest of the soil is like once I round-up the weeds and start digging in the shade perennials. Either clay or construction fill. I'll take the clay.
