I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I was warned about the parents, but so far it's the groom who is a fucking twat. Every time I've seen him or spoken to him, he's rolling his eyes and sighing and giving me the stank-eye. WTF? He pulled this shit when his mother introduced me to him.

He just asked if there were anymore bathrooms, possibly upstairs, for the two-hundred wedding party to use. I assumed that he was illiterate and read the "Staff Only" sign for him. I also let him know that there were private residences up there amongst the offices (said offices that don't have locks on them).

Maybe he doesn't actually want to get married or something. Or maybe he's just a dick.

“Not dead yet!”

Gotta love New York.

That sounds...uncomfortable. For the bicyclists.

Honfest is this weekend. I don't think I have any more energy to go tonight. Today I went to the farmers' market, met with the deck person, wrote the first of 3 huge checks, vacuumed and mopped the first floor, shampooed the carpets, hit the Targets and Walmarts, planted the tiger lily (which OW, my soil is awful to dig in) and hit up TJs too. I've used up all my people and physical energy, I think.

Because books.

That ... does sound uncomfortable.

God, a chain restaurant in Times Square. I ... don't envy, msbelle.

God, a chain restaurant in Times Square.

On a Saturday night, no less.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

There are actual New Yorkers who go to that Olive Garden?

Yeah, I gotta say, this lady has traveled a lot and lived abroad more than once, but there is not a lot of sophistication.

Because books.

That's sad. I've found awesome little mom-and-pop restaurants off the beaten path, especially in the theater district.
