I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Dude, weekend is insane.

Today: Admin work in office all day until 1, drop off D. at the town to the north of us to pick up the orchestra gear in their van, which he will then drive down to the town just south of here. I will meet him there and we will teach. After lessons, we will both drive the vans down to the school in the town just south of here.

Then hockey, game 7 to win the Stanley Cup. Oh, and my student is having her tonsils out and her broken nose fixed, so we'll see how that all goes.

Tomorrow: Teaching in the morning & afternoon. Then straight over to the school just south of here to get the orchestra van and drive it to the town well south of here where he'll set up for the pops concert and I'll set up for recording. Two shows, one at 4 & one at 7:30 with BBQ in between.

Sunday: Church, mad cleaning of the house, because...

Monday/Tuesday: Our former pastor from Kansas & his wife come over to visit and hang out and go see the Canyon and come back and hang out and party with some of our kids.

And Wednesday: Mad packing, because...

Thursday: We leave for Indiana for six weeks of fundraising and camp and helping my mom after her surgery.

And then we fall over.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I loved Voyagers, but I had no idea that the boy was her brother!

“Not dead yet!”

Was that the guy who accidentally killed himself on the set? And was dating Joan Collins.

Set of a different show, actually-- Cover Up, I think it was called. A spy caper. And damn, but he was pretty.

ETA: that sounds weird---I just mean that trivia is kind of a thing here, you fit right in.

Heh-- no worries, I got it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am currently teaching someone (an intern) how to file.

Good times.

Ugh. Filing. Welcome to my hell.

Then hockey, game 7 to win the Stanley Cup.

Liese, people have the Penguins fever around here. Between the election and the playoffs, (both our new premier and Crosby are from the same suburb) people are going a little crazy.

Did you have to teach them that the files need to go in actual alphabetical order, not, say, just all the "m's" together! I did once, and boy that was fun.

She got it pretty quickly, once I explained how to figure out what she was looking for. (I.e., a letter to a person at a place is going to be filed by the place, not the person.)

I do feel vindicated in my stance that having interns do our filing is an educational experience and not just a boring task we don't feel like doing!
