Could just be a hoax, though. I fake some headaches, everyone gets used to poor helpless Spike. Then one day, no warning, I snap a spine, bend a head back, drain 'em dry. Brilliant.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Boy, ABC's coverage of the Belmont sucked.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Pyrs are beautiful. I've never spent a lot of time around them, though.

I saw a man walking a newfie in the height of an NC August (95F, 95% humidity). He'd clipped the dog's fur all around the body, leaving sort of a lion's ruff and bit on the tail.

The dog looked sad, but I'm not sure if it was due to the heat or the epically bad hair day it was having.

Ha! To Perkins. I think I posted a similar title when Loki's staying was final.

Andy's pretty too.

I have put in an order for blinds. Mainly want the kitchen and bedrooms. Dining room windows I still haven't decided what I want to do, but not blinds. I toyed with cellular, but really, I need the light blocking, but I like to be able to partly see out too. So, blinds.

Doing laundry!!! And I think I'll go make dinner.

I've really got to whip at least one of the bedrooms into shape. Which means moving crap, getting rid of crap, moving stuff to basement, getting basement shelves.

I may actually be tired of spending money.

Also, since I put out the diatomaceous earth, three roaches have crawled into the kitchen to die. 2 in the basement. Uhg. I mean, yay dying roaches, BUT FUCKING DIE OUTSIDE PLEASE.

Cats are singularly uninterested.

Oh dear. Poor baby. That haircut is just so wrong. When I've had to clip Mooshu down for his skin issues, groomers have tried to do that lion cut on him and I utterly refuse. It's like, it's bad enough I'm doing this to the poor boy, leave him some dignity, you know?

Our wings are not tired.

Gross. But, still...proof that it's working. And won't harm your kitties (like a chemical pesticide would).

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My ex used to have a Samoyed. He'd get the dog clipped every summer. The dog was happy to be cool, but he always looked embarrassed when he was first brought out to us by the groomer. I think he knew he looked like a giant mouse.

“Not dead yet!”

Mooshu refuses to look at us.
