Big stop just to renew your license to companion. Can I use companion as a verb?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Sometimes I wish anyone on television worth more than a million bucks or two had to wear a sign or a red star or something. Just a little visual cue to look for on anyone who is claiming to be an "everyman".

It might be a nice little reminder for them too. Maybe Trent Lott wouldn't prattle on about how sad he is to lose his beach house in a hurricane that has flattened cities and left people destitute if his lapel was quietly indicating what a douche move that was.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

So, I crushed what I hope to be my last pack of cigarettes about half an hour ago, AND I WOULD REALLY LIKE A CIGARETTE RIGHT NOW.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Quit quit quit quit quit!

t waves pom poms

It's one damn sentence, roughly equivalent in context to one of us saying, "I hope a Buffista would make better decisions."

There is a disturbing lack of Buffistas on the Supreme Court, this is true.

Or maybe we can assign them all numbers.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

It's one damn sentence, roughly equivalent in context to one of us saying, "I hope a Buffista would make better decisions."

Yep. Plus there's the fact that we would.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I am sleepy but I did indulge in retail therapy which makes me feel a bit cheerier.

Whoo hoo, Sean, you can do it!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I wish television news had to run a ticker with relevant facts under every speaker. Then when Newt is talking about family values, the ticker would say, "Married his high school math teacher, who put him through college and grad school. Dragged her and two toddlers on the campaign trail to prove his family values. Told her he wanted a divorce while she was in the hospital being treated for ovarian cancer. Had to be taken to court to pay his children's orthodontist bills. Married woman he was having an affair with. Divorced her to marry woman he was having an affair with......"

This would make Fox News at the gym so much more worth watching.

Coding and Sleeping

It seems like any TV in a public area tuned to a news channel is always tuned to Fox News. Maybe it's just my location though.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am just so sick of rich privileged white guys prattling on about bias and equality.

Oh yes.

I am now one of those people who sit at Panera! But only for a little while longer. It seemed like the surest bet to get my work email downloaded, but then I can work on stuff offline from home.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I sit at Panera all summer! I have no shame. Plus the Panera guy told us we could just sit in the Panera parking lot at all hours and didn't need to come in to buy stuff to assuage our corporate guilt.

Now I'm hungry for Panera and there isn't one for hundreds of miles. Plus I don't have a vehicle since the SO is in the recording studio again today. Plus I have huevos rancheros if I get off my duff and go make them.

I bet I could find a privileged white guy at the Panera to feel sorry for if I could get there, though.
