Oy. That Katie Roiphe piece was annoying. I find it fascinating that, no matter what choices you make as a mom, there's always going to be some asshole happy to tell you you're doing it all wrong.

The recruiter suggested that my biggest weakness involved an inability to balance work and home life. Slanting to work life, of course. This was based on my resume. I'm not going to say that, but I pray they don't ask me. I feel I will reply "How much I hate that question!"
That question is really the Kobayashi Maru of interviews, I could never think of a really good answer for it.

I usually try to be honest (I can get too focused on a task and making something perfect even if there isn't time/necessity for it to be) but quickly transition into talking about how I try to work around my "weakness" (by being very aware of project deadlines and working out what customer expectations are). So far that's worked okay I think. Who knows though, really?
