"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Well, it looks like a hematologist is my next stop.

Don't get him confused with the herpetologist next door, okay?

Because books.

What's up, Barb?

“Not dead yet!”

Suh-nerk. That would be bad, yes.

Amy, my blood count isn't recovering the way my GYN wanted. I experienced some weakness and lightheadedness last week and made an appt. to have the blood count checked again. It's gone from 5.5 pre-surgery to 8.8 as of today, which is a huge improvement, but he really expected it to recover more rapidly in the second month after surgery.

I really hate feeling like such a fucking delicate flower. Pisses me off.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Coding and Sleeping

Okay, I've gotten shit done, why isn't it time to leave yet?

Oh crap, I've got to call my aunt about setting up a time to fix her computer. So do not want to do.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ha. My parents just had their computer in the shop, wherein they paid about 80 bucks for a simple diagnostic and repair, reasonable rates, but they were shocked. I think this is my new tactic for family computer tech support. You go and get it taken care of by a shop once, and then I'll help you henceforth, because you will at least be aware of how much money I'm saving you.

Not to be all unfriendly geek about it. We just get so sick of it because our family is so far. We get such a limited amount of time with them, and so much of that gets eaten up with doing tech support.
