Huh, it looks like we all own a car company now that GM is going into Bankruptcy. Except for you non-American types, you all have to buy your own car company, sorry. I also saw that Chrysler's assets got sold off this weekend. Bye-bye Chrysler, hello Chrysler Group LLC.
Meanwhile, Ford has announced that its next model release will be called "The Quickening".
I'll be curious to see how Ford does with bringing over it's European models.

I have a completely irrational loyalty to Ford (I've only ever bought Fords, Mercurys and a Lincoln) so I'm rooting for them (and happy they're not needing bailouts).
Oh, my parents finally sold their Taurus and bought another Mercury Grand Marquis (my dad, being taller than me, has had trouble getting in and out of the Taurus). This is their third Marquis. I've owned two Marquis' myself, plus a similar '72 Monterey.

I'm rooting for Ford too. I've had an Escort, a Tempo, a Villager (even though it is really a Nissan), and a Windstar and they have all been good cars for the most part. Plus, they have a plant in Kansas City. At least Ford has got themselves a pretty good CEO right.
