I am staying in all weekend to avoid spending money. Clio's extraction & cleaning is going to cost in the $800 ballpark.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I so totally feel your pain Sue. Last weekend was not cheap, even before I killed my back up hard drive.

Wrod.

Last Saturday I had an extra $500 in the bank. Since then the transmission pan on my car got replaced and I had a trifecta of medical weirdness. The fates wait for us to go "Yeah, this is OK, I think I can relax now."

My friend Debra swears there's a Detect Money chip that goes off in her car every time she gets an extra payment from somewhere.

I long for the day when I can get season tickets to see the ballet, opera, or concert music again.

I swear my life has one of those. Every time I feel like I am actually starting to save money, something expensive happens. I also have a few repairs to do around the house that will be in the $1500-2000 range. OTOH, I don't usually carry a lot of debt (other than my mortgage), so I should probably count myself lucky.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I like the symphony/philharmonic more than the ballet or opera. Maybe I would like opera more now, but I have given it many tries over the years -- it just seems like something I'd like! And yet, not really my thing. I just like lieder.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I was shocked to discover how much I like ballet. I can take or leave symphony/philharmonic and opera bugs.

I am grumpy, I waited too long to go get lunch. I need to go NOW.

Good luck w/the move, Jen! Are you excited about the new place?

I am! I'm moving in to a friend's place - she has roomies off and on, and she offered, so I accepted. I will have more amenities with her than I would otherwise, so I'm all for it. Plus, she has a cat which doesn't seem to bother my allergies, so it's like a free pet with purchase... that I don't have to be responsible for monetarily.
