They object to standardized spelling. One reason is - justifiably - that kids with dyslexia or other learning disabilities can't compete. But, taking that logic through, they'd have to eliminate all competitive sports, since kids who have physical disabilities can't compete.
Yeah, I'm sorry but that's nuts. The whole point of big-time competition in anything is that the competitors are exceptional. So while, sure, there are a group of people who are knocked out because of a disability, there's a much larger group who are knocked out just because they aren't good enough.
plans olympic protesting trip, because am unable to do anything required to be a participant.

Happy birthday, Seth!
Random transition #1: Jilli, I think it depends on the time of day. Post it early on Friday so that everyone has time to spread the meme during the don't-wanna-work time of day.
Random transition #2: I have a question for those wise in the ways of pharmaceuticals. I somehow tweaked my back this morning. I'm not sure how, but it's been hurting for about an hour now. Will Advil help? Or should I wait until I can get home in a few hours and take some naproxen?

Makes you want to hold up a counter-sign that says: "Competition - UR doin it wrogn"
