I've been to Iowa many times and have found it to be pretty nice place. I like the cooler climate as well.
Of course, that was before it went all gay.

I kid you not, le set and le match.

Lazy bastards! Explains why I haven't noticed, eh?
Thanks for the clarifications.
Paul's last name (the one I use here) was Texified sometime in the late 1800s. It had been Marcantal. That's like being Americanized, right?
Also, a lob is "un lob" and a slice is "un slice".
My name is boringly WASP ... and people still manage to misspell it. I work on the assumption you call people what they want to be called - within reason - and pronounce their names as much as possible as they want. And, yes, you spell it as they request (nods to ita).
ita, if you go to Dubai I want a full report. I have a weird fascination with Dubai.
::sticks tongue out at msbelle:: Getting all judgey on the furrin names.
ION - did I mention here that mac's bus company is claiming a check of mine bounced? I am arguing with them, even though my bank shows it cleared and I have my statement to show that not only did it not bounce, but I had a balance of almost ten times the check amount still in the bank. I have had to print out my bank statement, black out all account info on it, for the bank account as well as accounts of bills I pay. I also have a copy of the cancelled check showing two stamps on the back.
Something shady is going on and I am stuck because I have paid through the end of June with these people.
If I had a dollar for every time my last name has been mispronounced (It's "pete-," not "pet-"), I'd probably have a down payment for a decent Buffista Island.
