The real problem with old school rap is that there aren't a lot of great music videos. They're more like cautionary tales about the perils of being a fashion don't.
There are, of course, the movies but those also seem to be cautionary tales. Like, "Don't put graffiti on subway cars or you might be electrocuted."

Hah! Reading the "clean rap" thing made me laugh and laugh, because I was totally coming up with the same songs as y'all...and at the same time, the other thing running through my mind was the Eminem lyric "Will Smith don't gotta cuss in his raps to sell records..."
I wish more acts would do what Marshall did and put out clean version of their songs. I mean, his stuff is till too violent and angry for me to give to mac (and it is past the prime of when I was listening in a major way), but still.
