The danger of being able to tune out lyrics while writing. I always hear music first, lyrics second, if I hear them at all.

I am amazed at how many lyrics I have lost from my memory. I used to be able to sing along with a TON of my hiphop stuff. every.single.word. nsm now.
The thing is, I tend to absorb, like through osmosis or something. And then a song will come on and I'll know the lyrics and I have no idea how.
It's mildly disconcerting.
