"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

We've been watching way more Gabba than Sesame. Sigh. Ugh.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Sesame Street is still on?? I thought it was cancelled years ago. I definitely don't think it's been shown over here in years (although it has been a long time since I was a nanny, so I've probably lost touch).

It always made me deleriously happy when the little girl I looked after choose Sesame Street over Barney, and I could then actually enjoy TV with her, rather than having to cover ears with pillow and suppress nausea.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Perkins the cat hates me.

“Not dead yet!”

Perkins the cat will get over it. You're his food supply.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

He HAS to hate you at first. It's part of the New Cat Dance.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Both of these things are very true. I had just forgotten how much I hate this part.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

ION, my cat just used her litter box, then climbed on my desk and put her butt in my face.

Our wings are not tired.

blub blub blub We are getting a pretty serious storm. All those months of praying for rain paid off big time this week, although much worse to the north of me. I don't mind the wet part, but power and internet staying on would be handy.

Tickybox! Yes, Perkins will get over it. My kitty has decided that it is a good day to curl up at my feet. Chasing birds and vermin can wait until a dryer day. She will likely insist on going out for a quick potty break at some point as she only uses a litter box as a last resort.
