We are getting a pretty serious storm. All those months of praying for rain paid off big time this week, although much worse to the north of me. I don't mind the wet part, but power and internet staying on would be handy.
Tickybox! Yes, Perkins will get over it. My kitty has decided that it is a good day to curl up at my feet. Chasing birds and vermin can wait until a dryer day. She will likely insist on going out for a quick potty break at some point as she only uses a litter box as a last resort.

Those gummies. A vicious lot.
Yep-- the rain let up a bit yesterday afternoon and this morning for the first time in nearly a week but came back full force about mid-morning.
It's wreaked a bit of havoc with the satellite reception, but power and internet haven't suffered, knock on every conceivable surface.
The bummer is that this weekend is the Jazz Fest. I hope it lets up by Sunday because I'd love to go see Chris Botti.
I just had an epic battle with Oz the cat to get him back in the house. He's either not too bright or not as attached to food as I thought. I would have left him out, but since he has no front claws, he's on supervised visits to the outdoors. I emerged victorious, but with a tear in my shirt. At least my neighbor thought it was amusing.
I have had too much sun.
BABY! Oh my god, that last one is priceless.
Pretty mama! Proud dad! BABY! SO much joy, Sparky.
Wonderful pictures, Sparky, of a beautiful mom, proud dad and adorable baby! Oh, and beaming grandparents.
Baby! Thank you for the pictures, Sparky. What a beautiful happy family!
