Do I wish I was somebody else right now. Somebody not... married, not madly in love with a beautiful woman who can kill me with her pinkie!

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

She is fed a lot and eats nothing. I don't know if she's feeling better or not as she was SO VERY MAD about the catheter (do not blame her at all). She had blown one IV site in her hand, so she had a new one in her foot. If they have to go to her right hand, things are going to be Very Bad.

I haven't spoken to a doc at all so I have no idea what is going on, which is all par for the course. She's had a volunteer there every day to play with her and there are only 2 other kids in the PICU, with 2 nurses, 2 LVNs/CNAs, and one RT, so she is getting lots of attention.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Whoa. [link]

Four men from upstate New York were arrested Wednesday night in what the authorities said was a plot to bomb two synagogues in the Bronx and shoot down military planes at Stewart Air National Guard base in Newburgh, N.Y.

The men were arrested around 9 p.m. after planting what they believed to be bombs in cars outside the Riverdale Temple and the nearby Riverdale Jewish Center, officials said. But the men did not know the bombs, provided by an informant with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, were fake.

That's the synagogue my family went to when I was little.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

7 quakes? That's creepy. Makes me think unhappy thoughts.

I think I should repress them.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I keep feeling phantom quakes now. But none of the real ones.

Burrell, that was my reaction. It felt forced.

Trust my rage

All this talk of moving has got me looking forward to our move. Which I usually hate. And I do hate that moment when the movers arrive and it's not your home anymore but just a house full of stuff. Joe and I are working hard on throwing stuff away/giving it away this time.

I've already thrown away all the furniture broken from previous moves that we thought me might fix at some point in time. Next up - clothes. I'm thinking that even if it's a sweater that you would never wear in PR, I'm still gettign rid of it if it hasn't been touched in three years. It's time for new stuff - I'm a different shape than I was three years ago.

eta: and we still have no orders. So I'm planning on leaving in four weeks but there are no guarantees.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Next up - clothes. I'm thinking that even if it's a sweater that you would never wear in PR, I'm still gettign rid of it if it hasn't been touched in three years.

I did a massive clear-out of my old clothes when we moved last weekend. In the process, I had to deal with the fact that I have gone up several clothes sizes over the past few years, and that I'm unlikely to go back. And now I am over it.

New places are ace. Ours has a view of trains! We're right near one of the big London stations. Much fun. I'd become a trainspotter if I weren't just a bit too far away to see the numbers on them...

“Not dead yet!”

I want a new place if only it'll get me the hell out of Jacksonville and somewhere a) I really want to be and b) potentially living near friends.

Otherwise, my ass is parked here for the foreseeable future because I hate, hate, hate moving. I've been in awe of you guys who've been handling it so well.
