Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

In my head it's pronounced like "toasty".

That's how I heard but. But considering that one of the recurrent conversations I've heard at every F2F has been how you hear "amych" in your head, I think we can survive some regional variations.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I don't know what you're talking about. It's clearly ah-mitch.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Man, I really want tostones now.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'd settle for toast.

Or bananas.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I would like tostones as well, and am also regretting not getting the plantain chips at the restaurant I went to yesterday for lunch.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I should really run to the store for diet coke. It would mean getting some sort of clothes on Olivia, though.

My mom's going to be fine--she's in the hospital for another day or two to treat a rather serious kidney infection but they're getting her blood pressure back up and keeping her sugar steady. Some IV antibiotics and fluids are helping the infection.

Trust my rage

I will miss tostones. PR does them very well. I'll miss plantain chips too - tastier than potato chips.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ay-mitch! (Not like ay caramba, rhymes with hay)

Now I think I'm going to have to get a medianoche and those chips for dinner.
