Hmm. It's sounds like the finest party I can imagine getting paid to go to.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yay Sparky family!

ION, here is my current plan: I'll cut a hole in the top of my skull to pour coffee in. Then I'll cut a hole in the bottom of my skull to drain the coffee after it's percolated through my brain....

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Sounds like a pretty complicated operation, Tommy. Better have a cup of coffee first.

Congrats on the Babyfras!! Can't wait to hear the name...

Sorry to hear about the sick kidlets, Kat.

Our wings are not tired

Self employed peeps: Do you do W2, 1099 or Corp to corp? Why?

This is from a little way back, but I didn't see anyone say anything.

I get a mixture of both W2 and 1099. I don't have too much say in which one. Many companies don't want to list me as an employee, as such I get 1099'ed, Some hire me through employment agencies like Cast and Crew, in which case I get a W2. The places I teach as an adjunct I get paid as a part time employee, so it's also a W2.

My experience has been that I don't have too much say in the matter. I like having a balance of the two. When I do get paid on a W2, I usually claim zero exemptions and have some extra money withheld out of each check just to help offset the amount that I'll owe at the end of the year due to a lot of 1099 income.

This post has multiple personalities.

Yay sparkybaby!

Boo on sick kidlets. At least Grace is at Huntington. Hope sleep is found soon.

Hubble is back in orbit. Release shortly before 9 am. I "saw" it.

OMGWTF, you SLACKERS. For weeks we've been prodding the teams to get us necessary info. Crunch starts NOW, and I'm going to be very busy. So now they decide to start asking "um, how do we do this again?" I keep flipping off my monitor.

Yay, Hubble!
