And almost sixty-five percent of that was actual compliment. Is that a personal best?

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Same here. WE'RE BROKE, PEOPLE! Sadly, it's not looking too good for any of the measures, so I don't really know what's going to happen after that.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I blame Prop 13, along with the double whammy of two terms of Reagan as Governor followed by two terms as President, for all the state's financial woes. But, really, mostly Prop 13. I can't even imagine how different things would be here without it.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I'm always ready to blame Prop 13.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I need to sit down and read through all these measures because I have a feeling that some of them may make things worse, but I'm not sure which ones those are. The ads, etc. have been singularly unhelpful. I started to listen to some analysis on the radio thise morning, but it was too depressing before coffee.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh thank goodness -- we are starting to hear some good news at work. Nothing major or unexpected, but STILL.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I'm always ready to blame Prop 13.

Add me on that list. I have friends that defend it -- They had taxes jump over 10% in a year. However , I think there is room between mega jumps and no jump in property taxes. My union is saying no on 1A and yes on 1C.

I've decided I dislike the whole proposition system. It locks up money if very inflexible ways.

One of my coffee shop buddies was saying people will leave CA if taxes go up. Interesting, he seemed to have missed the other side of the coin, If you can't have schools - or a bunch of other services - people will leave.

There has been a giant game of "not it" being played at my work since about January.

This seems to be the biggest problem with DH's new job. Everyone yelling 'not it'. At least the guys under him are starting to realize that He doesn't do that .

Yeah, I'm pretty much with you on that. It sounds all nice and super democratic, but we end up with unworkable messes.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I snapped. Went to the ER this morning. I no longer have that damned headache. Just a dull pain. It's bliss! And they fed me again. Shame about the whole scrambled eggs thing. But there were breakfast potatoes and some pretty good (what they said were) vegetable sausage.

Working on a pre-screening questionnaire for a job application. I bet they won't even read the whole thing. I've been working on it for more than half an hour so far.

The question I'm leaving for last is "why are you interested in working with [redacted]?" For the money, people. For the money.

Hate that question.

Because if isn't just for money the real reason is something like my current job is driving me batshit, or my commute with be shorter or something equally pragmatic.
