“Not dead yet!”

Tell me, why am I looking at pictures of cute adoptable puppies?

This is bad.

Very, very bad.

I will be in heap big trouble if I bring another dog into the house.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

It strikes me that when the right goes nuts it never quite reaches the degree of inspired lunacy that use to afflict the far left. An actual quote:

My name is Gandalf the Violet. I shall speak in a strictly personal capacity. As such, I speak in the name of the Elves of Fangorn Forest, the Coloured Nuclei of Red Laughter, the Absent Phantom Political Movement, the Dada-Hedonist Cells, Worker’s Joy and Student Rejoicing, the Schizophrenic International, the Disturbed Clandestine Nuclei, the Chicory Tribe, the Cimbles and all the Metropolitan Indians..

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

God, how many times do I have to tell Gandalf the Violet - he doesn't speak for my Dada-Hedonist Cell....

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Just saw Angels and Demons. It was as you would expect, though I think I may have been the only person in the theater to take a big shocked inhale when one character tore a page out of Galileo manuscript. That is just NOT OKAY. That being said, Ewan, whom I think is always dreamy was just meh. The acting felt bad because the writing was so excruciating.

Dad's cath went okay, no complications. But they did find a blockage in one of the graft sites. Mom left no more info and she's at the hospital so I have to wait until she calls me.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

You are correct. It does not contain a comma!

Thanks! (I meant to say that earlier, and just realized I never did.)

Man. I need to start packing up my desk because my team is moving to a new pod location, and I don't wanna.

Someone needs to tell that Big Hollywood dude to be more careful with double negatives.

I quit being a liberal because I didn’t believe that [...] illegal aliens weren’t entitled to anything but a swift kick to the backside

I quit being a liberal because I didn’t believe that [...]being a devout Christian didn’t make you a bad person

And as a bonus:

I quit being a liberal because I didn’t believe that [...] capitalism was a system that worked

Scandalous!

You're with a team that inhabits pods, shrift? I'm not sure which scifi direction to go with that, but none of them seem good.

You guys have to see these piggies and their reaction to sound!

I quit being a liberal because I didn’t believe that [...] capitalism was a system that worked

I was confused by that actually, and then I realized he just didn't mean what he said!

Compassionately intolerant

I'm hoping that this weekend, I can stop staring at my dog for 18 hours a day. He's healing nicely but the stitches, they itch. Plus, he's the fastest paw in the West, pardner.

Being sequestered all week like this has been rough. No grocery...good thing I had stuff squirreled away...no anything but quick walks.

Today, I dropped him off with excellent friends who watched him while I had a doggy lama appointment. It went well, but I feel bad about imposing on folks that way.

If all goes well, I'll go to a matinee of Trek on Sunday.

Can't decide whether to leave the cone on while I'm gone or not.
