Just saw Angels and Demons. It was as you would expect, though I think I may have been the only person in the theater to take a big shocked inhale when
one character tore a page out of Galileo manuscript. That is just
NOT OKAY. That being said, Ewan, whom I think is always dreamy
was just meh. The acting felt bad because the writing was so excruciating.
Dad's cath went okay, no complications. But they did find a blockage in one of the graft sites. Mom left no more info and she's at the hospital so I have to wait until she calls me.
You are correct. It does not contain a comma!
Thanks! (I meant to say that earlier, and just realized I never did.)
Man. I need to start packing up my desk because my team is moving to a new pod location, and I don't wanna.
Someone needs to tell that Big Hollywood dude to be more careful with double negatives.
I quit being a liberal because I didn’t believe that [...] illegal aliens weren’t entitled to anything but a swift kick to the backside
I quit being a liberal because I didn’t believe that [...]being a devout Christian didn’t make you a bad person
And as a bonus:
I quit being a liberal because I didn’t believe that [...] capitalism was a system that worked
Scandalous!

You're with a team that inhabits pods, shrift? I'm not sure which scifi direction to go with that, but none of them seem good.

You guys have to see these piggies and their reaction to sound!

I was confused by that actually, and then I realized he just didn't mean what he said!
I'm hoping that this weekend, I can stop staring at my dog for 18 hours a day. He's healing nicely but the stitches, they itch. Plus, he's the fastest paw in the West, pardner.
Being sequestered all week like this has been rough. No grocery...good thing I had stuff squirreled away...no anything but quick walks.
Today, I dropped him off with excellent friends who watched him while I had a doggy lama appointment. It went well, but I feel bad about imposing on folks that way.
If all goes well, I'll go to a matinee of Trek on Sunday.
Can't decide whether to leave the cone on while I'm gone or not.
Congratulations to Hec and JZ for five wonderful years + a Matilda!
And yay! for no cancer, Aimee.
Kat, I'm glad your father's procedure is over and went fine. But yeesh. I'm sorry your family has been through the ringer lately. How is your sister doing?
I have to go pick up my son. I'm hoping all the graduates have gone off to celebrate.
Past five years?
- Lost a longtime much admired friend to suicide
- Went into treatment for anxiety as a result; discovered better living through chemistry
- Wrote a fanfic novel
- Lost some friends, made some more, got back into regular contact with some old ones
- Mom sold my childhood home (cleaning it out so her kids didn't have to) and moved to a truly wonderful 'independent living community'
- Watched a once-great workplace circle the drain
- Got laid off
- Went back to school, had a wonderful time, learned a whole lot of amazing stuff
- Been unemployed for over two years now, still looking for a job.
Aside from the suicide and the current job hunting, I'm not regretting much of it.
three and half hours and twenty dollars later, I have the cure!
