"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

In particular, playing games with the kids or reading to them is pretty good stuff.

Hell, I'd love to spend a weekend with both your kids. They're awesome.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

It would be nice to have a 25 hour day though.

Let's slow the Earth's rotation!

Everybody, start moving stuff towards the equator.

Actually, humans have slowed the Earth's rotation in measurable ways, by damming rivers, causing water to accumulate in lakes relatively near the equator (like how an ice skater who's spinning in circles will spin slower if she extends her arms).

Or a job you could bike or walk to, I bet. Being able to walk to my job is my dream. That, if things go the way they seem to be going, will not happen any time soon (on the plus side, this means continued employment for me so yay).

You sound like you've got some pretty awesome kids yourself. Matilda is a cutie from the recent pictures I've seen.

lisah, I had success with using butter to coat pills for Bear. Cold butter, slice off thin sheets, wrap around pill. Put back in fridge to harden back up and then go for it. You can't dawdle with it in your fingers for long because it'll get too slippery, but it also means that the old dude has less of a chance to get a grip on it and spit it out.

sara, I haven't had a chance to say how happy I am for you with the house and the 'hood and neighbors!

That would be really sweet considering the real estate that is around my place of work. Unfortunately I'm stymied by the lack of ability to afford said real estate.

The vet tech suggested that too. I'll give it a try!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Walking to work was the BEST. Esp. walking through Central Park. I miss that! Not the job so much, though...

Yeah, she's freakin' adorable when she's not the fussbutt queen of two year old Id behavior. All that circus school training has unfortunately given her the climbing ability of a spider monkey. I picked her up the other day she clambered up on top of my head before I could stop her.

And, I have to say, Emmett was super awesome all weekend. From baseball, to tuxedo events to playing with Matilda it was like all of his virtues were on display.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

note to self: never send Dylan to circus school
