Jesse! If I want to PayPal $ to you for the board, should I use your profile address?
(I have a post-it on my laptop to remind me, and it keeps falling off, at which point I put it on the side table, until it clicks that it's a reminder post-it, and then I put it back on the laptop, and it falls off, etc. So while I'm currently remembering, I thought I'd ask you.)
Awesome, thanks! Use donations at buffistas dot org.
Right on. Incoming shortly.
I should do that too.
Also, I should remember that I need to make Chuck Icons.
K clotheslined a 5-year-old kid on the slide at the playground. It caused the kid's teeth to clack in his head.
(In fairness to her, the kid sort of nudged/kicked Noah to make him move faster down the slide and then didn't wait until N got off the slide before he went. Meanwhile another kid started climbing up so Noah was confused and stayed where he was).
Does this mean we can't go back to that playground for a while?
This afternoon, I met someone interested in a job I'm not hiring for (I was like a second opinion), and I was kind of meh on her, until I heard she likes Chuck! CHUCK!! That was her example after she told someone she likes sci-fi, so I'm guessing she has depths of nerddom she just didn't get into. Now I hope she gets the job.
Oh Kat! The tribulations of parenthood.
Um, was it a favorite playground? It's probably fine to go back.
I wouldn't worry about it, Kat. Sounds like the kids needed to be brought up short if he was pushing a toddler around. Did she sort of stop him with her arm while he was headed down the slide toward Noah? That's what I would have done.
If Owen had done that to a smaller kid on the slide, I'd have done the same. It takes awhile for kids to figure out they have to move away from the bottom of the slide. I drill the "WAIT UNTIL IT'S CLEAR" message home to both of mine.

Yeah. Actually, I think she was mad because the kid had pushed Noah to make him go. Then Noah and the other kid were still actually ON the slide when the older kid went, ready to knock them off. Older kids dad was ineffectually like, "oh, you shouldn't push the baby, don't do that, you should stop" and his kid ignored him.
I think the bigger ish is that we just walked away to the swings while the older kid had a big cry about the whole thing. He was upset, understandably, and they were doing hairpats. I think I missed the class on playground politics.

Oh, that pisses me off! I know kids are going to do stuff like that but the least the parents can do is TRY to teach them not to be little jerks.
