This afternoon, I met someone interested in a job I'm not hiring for (I was like a second opinion), and I was kind of meh on her, until I heard she likes Chuck! CHUCK!! That was her example after she told someone she likes sci-fi, so I'm guessing she has depths of nerddom she just didn't get into. Now I hope she gets the job.

Oh Kat! The tribulations of parenthood.
Um, was it a favorite playground? It's probably fine to go back.
I wouldn't worry about it, Kat. Sounds like the kids needed to be brought up short if he was pushing a toddler around. Did she sort of stop him with her arm while he was headed down the slide toward Noah? That's what I would have done.
If Owen had done that to a smaller kid on the slide, I'd have done the same. It takes awhile for kids to figure out they have to move away from the bottom of the slide. I drill the "WAIT UNTIL IT'S CLEAR" message home to both of mine.

Yeah. Actually, I think she was mad because the kid had pushed Noah to make him go. Then Noah and the other kid were still actually ON the slide when the older kid went, ready to knock them off. Older kids dad was ineffectually like, "oh, you shouldn't push the baby, don't do that, you should stop" and his kid ignored him.
I think the bigger ish is that we just walked away to the swings while the older kid had a big cry about the whole thing. He was upset, understandably, and they were doing hairpats. I think I missed the class on playground politics.

Oh, that pisses me off! I know kids are going to do stuff like that but the least the parents can do is TRY to teach them not to be little jerks.
K claims it was a clotheslining because the older kid was interested in piling driving into the two littler ones and he was leaning back with his feet raised. She claims she should have gotten him at the waist.
THIS is what happens when mom plays hockey is all I'm saying.
Yeah, parenting fail there on the big boy's team.
I dreamt last night I went to Arby's for one of their roast "burgers." I think that means I should sate my craving.
Another vote for you get to keep your playground. You were taking care of your kid, and they were failing to raise theirs.

Christopher almost had a bumper sticker made for me that said, "My hockey mom can kick your soccer mom's ass."
Cash, K would love that!
