I don't think those were the strongest eps, but if they really didn't do it for you, this might not be the show for you.

ah, bummer. I love a caper! But the writing didn't appeal to me at all. There were a couple of funny moments but not enough to keep me coming back.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I don't know what people are more excited about. Is it the awesomeness of the new president, or the end of the horror of the last 8 years?

For me, at least, it's mostly the latter, with a big splash of "I'm proud of my country again!" I spent a good portion of the concert a weepy mess for no reason I could think of, other than it's nice to feel hope again.

(I also felt that the crowd there was a bit of a disappointment, not getting into the concert as much as they could have. It was damn cold, though, so I should probably not feel too bad that they didn't do the usual "whooa-oh! whooa-oh!" during "Pride." The singers were great and I'm definitely keeping in on my dvr queue for a while to rewatch.)

Now tagless for your comfort.

Tom, I picked up my comic pull Saturday and it was in it! I haven't read it yet but I'm going to today! I had a huge pull, so it's taking time to get through everything.

I'm with you. I love Timothy Hutton! And CK! And the woman who played Jane -- how can you beat that? But it was pretty eh for me as well. Alas.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The true history of the Bush years

Two of the all-time classics in American humor are in there:

"Our Long National Nightmare of Peace and Prosperity is Finally Over"

"God angrily clarifies "don't kill" rule"

Leverage fans: is it better than Eyes? Similar? Worse? Completely unlike?

I just realized I don't think I'm watching ANY one-hour dramas now (except Mad Men but it won't be back for a while). So sad! I did tape the premier of BSG on Friday but I don't have high hopes for it.

Personally, I think Leverage's not as good on a quality level, but I think it's more fun.

is it better than Eyes?

Aw, hell. I forgot all about that show, and how good it was.
