Wait, *I* have to lay the eggs?!?
Clearly I didn't read the fine print.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I guess I don't get out much; I don't think I've ever seen anything she's been in.
First thing I ever saw her in was as Kevin Constner's wife in The Untouchables.
ION, I am in a gigantic food coma at the moment. Brunch with my in-laws at their country club and copious amounts of shrimp and roast beef were consumed along with an interesting Eggs Benedict (biscuit instead of English muffin for the base-- tasty, but too fragile).
The dessert buffet was obscene. Chocolate fountains and all sorts of tasty cakes and pies and petit fours. I tried a tuxedo brownie cheesecake that was, unbelievably, too sweet. (Let's put it this way-- the coconut cream pie seemed almost bitter afterwards.)
But it was all good and a good time was had by all.
We may go to a movie later, but right now, coma nap is winning out.
I was going to say it's beautiful here too, but I just went upstairs and it's raining! Which sucks on the one hand, but OTOH, I really need to mow the lawn and I really didn't want to, so I am saved for the rest of the day.
Also, just replaced the switch in my bedroom. And it works without sparks or pops. I am so handy!
Go you, Sue!
I am almost inspired to start replacing light fixtures, but the 60 year old wiring still scares me.
I just got some interesting spam. It informed me that I've won the Irish lottery. Never seen that one before.
I'm also somewhat amused at all the ads for cheap Tamiflu that I'm getting.
Sue -- I vote that professional electricians should be involved with 60yo wiring. Your local fire department will thank you....
Oh don't worry Theo, I am all onboard that. In fact, I would love to rewire the place, but it's down on the list of priorities.
One of the best aspects of this old house is that because the old owners had a basement fire caused by an electric dryer, the insurance payment paid for all new wiring. You can actually run two appliances in the kitchen at the same time! (Which was not true of my old apartment.) Luxury!
Nice!
My kitchen is mostly new wiring, and the basement was wired whenever it was refinished, probably sometime in the 1970's. But the rest of the house is all old. Which is why my computer is in the basement--the only room outside the kitchen and bath with three-pronged plugs.
