There's more than one way to skin a cat. And I happen to know that's factually true.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

The movie I wanted to watch tonight from netflix was really an xbox game, dressed up to look like the movie I wanted to watch tonight.

Sad now.

I'm googling and looking for perfect maple seed pod jewelry on etsy. I might be a closet canadian, even with a good a president.

I may decide to do something else later, but I can always use those shelves in the basement. For now, I am terribly pleased and need to get some hooks to hand stuff on.

I have to say, buying a house in this area? It's like being ushered into a club. Lots of talk about who did what with the space, contractors and the economy, recs, discussions of all the strange stuff we find, the tribulations of DIY, etc.

Even if I hadn't found these folks delightful, we still had something in common.

I suspect I'm about to get more politically active, too. Just having people around me who are as a job will probably draw me back into that. Plus, community meetings and citizens patrols. I probably haven't really had a good discussion since my coworker was laid off.

Our wings are not tired.

Sara, I am so happy that you found your house and made it happen. Just a few weeks ago you were hyperventilating, and now it seems you've found your true hood peeps.

Congratulations!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

African tribe populated rest of the world

What particularly caught my eye is that they have a link to another story entitled "Early humans 'did not kill deformed offspring'" on one side of the page, and a picture of Stephen Hawking on the other.

java, I'm still spinning in amazement. If I'd written up a dream list for a neighborhood, this would be it. And I didn't know that when I fell in love with the house. I just knew it looked friendly.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

sara, I am incredibly happy for you. I swear there is something about the neighborhood that tells you it is the right house.

I knew our house was our house when I saw he sun hanging on the back fence. But we were looking at two. This one, although it needed more work felt better. and it was cheaper. and farther from the main road. and closer to down town. and while we knew one neighbor, really our immediate neighborhood is really good. Tolerant. and I get to pay monster and witch with the neighborhood kids.

I went to see Star Trek today, and hung out with someone I hadn't really hung out with before (yay for Facebook chat, because that's how I ended up talking to her and suggesting we see it together!). And then ended up going from there to a whole other movie with friends at the Transgender Film Festival (which I didn't even know was happening). Talk about a switch!

And then somehow while tasting a friend's soup (which was made wrong and eventually sent back) at dinner got a bite that had too much spice in it, and burnt my tongue and lip. OW.

I'm thinking I may bail on the "going out dancing" part of the evening, now that I'm finally home.
