Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

They're there, man, and still quite new.

“Not dead yet!”

Tired. Went to RWA chapter meeting today-- it was really good; we had a fantastic speaker. Normally I find myself in workshops feeling like a stranger in a strange land, since so many of the things advocated are usually contrary to my style of writing. But today's wasn't so much a craft workshop (really hate those)as a looking at your work with a critical eye with some great examples on how to do it.

After I came home, I took the kids to the community pool as it was 93 degrees today. We lasted a little over an hour and a half, but it was good. Now showers and going to watch a ball game. Busier Saturday than I expected but a good one.

ETA: I've got Atonement on the television and I'm still monumentally annoyed at how they let Briony off the hook so easily in the film version. Bah.

Punishingly Intricate

I got up early but did not make it to the farmers' market down the road.

I road my bike there today! to see our friends who were doing a bakesale fundraiser for the ride (they were there for like 4 or 5 weekends since march and made about or over $1000 each time. people look for them now!) and then we rode by sara's neighborhood!

I napped like a fiend and then was real lazy all around my neighborhood.

HEY! Ice cream truck! Is playing Fur Elise. hilarious!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I napped, and then when I woke up I ran out the door to go do stuff before my headache could wake up too. I only made it to one of the three places I was hoping to go today, and now the headache is back and angry, but it was still worth it.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I have a cough. I haven't had a cough since I was pregnant. It is muy annoying.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I sat out in the backyard after I got home from the movie and finished the rest of my book. Now I have to find something else to do.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

HEY! Ice cream truck! Is playing Fur Elise. hilarious!

Ours does, too. So funny!

I've been quite lazy today, but I did manage to get seven pages of something written, which is seven more than I've done in months, so that's good.

Love those wire shelves. I have two sets in the shed and one in the garage and will probably get more as I get more organized. Even with so many things in boxes, having the boxes on shelves rather than piled on the floor seems like progress.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We went out this morning and grazed the free samples at Costco, then to the really nice nursery up the road and got a gorgeous climbing rose (called Night Owl). I then went to a free Intro to Yoga workshop at the studio near my office. Nice place and I an planning to start going. They are really into a non-judgmental atmosphere and that should work, since I am judgmental enough of MYSELF thankyewverymuch.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That was fundamentally wrong.
